To provide an environment with caring people who truly understand brain injury. To share information, provide support, education & encouragement to brain injury survivors, their supporters and the community.
& How we started
In 2006, three women shared with each other their stories of the challenges involved with brain injuries. One was the mother of a TBI survivor, one was a Mental Health Professional, and one was a TBI survivor herself.
These women had three very different perspectives, yet each faced similar frustrations. Difficulty in locating resources and getting through the maze of where and how to find help led them to others in similar situations.
Determined to fulfill this need – to provide local community support and networking, Heads Up Brain Injury Support Group was formed.
Donate NowTo provide an environment with caring people who truly understand brain injury. To share information, provide support, education & encouragement to brain injury survivors, their supporters and the community.
Working together and renewed with “hope” is what Heads Up is all about. We understand the new life challenges, questions & frustrations you are experiencing and we are here for you.
